Are the individual
vacations transferable?The vacations
contained in your travel membership package
are indeed transferable up until they are
activated and sent back into the vendor with
dates & destinations selected. Many people
give these complimentary vacations away as
gifts.
How far in advance
must we make our reservations?If you wish to use
the ocean cruise or activate any of the complimentary
getaways, (including the condo certificate)
you will need to plan ahead at least 45 to
60 days for the best results. Otherwise, you
are less likely to get the dates and destinations
you desire. On the other hand, if you need
a condo for a week on short notice, just click
on the condo resorts button to view the current
list of available condos, dates, and destinations.
Sometimes during the low seasons, condos are
available continuously. Pricing will be determined
by location, and time of year. Another method
for getting discount rates on short notice
is to turn to the See America section of your
Super Savings book (blue trimmed pages), to
determine which hotels at your destination
city participate in the See America discount
rates plan. You can save up to 50% off of
the published rate in many cases.
Are there any
restrictions on when we can travel?In the travel industry,
there are peak seasons, and low seasons, and
they can vary depending upon the destinations.
What might be busy in one location will be
a low season somewhere else. As a general
rule, the complimentary getaways will be unavailable
during the major holidays. The farther ahead
you book, the better your chances are of getting
the times and destinations you desire. If
you are flexible on dates and destinations,
there are often outstanding deals on condos,
and ocean cruises, due to cancellations. Travel
Fox maintains a list of condos available for
just a fraction of their normal cost, and
it changes week to week.
Can I resell some of
the vacations in my membership package?
No. Incentive vacations are promotional in
nature and cannot be resold, however you may
give them away as gifts to family & friends,
employees, etc. The only exception to that
would be if the vacations were raffled off
by a non profit organization during fund raising
activities.
How can you sell
such a valuable package for such a low price
?Many resorts have
been selling similar vacation membership packages
for over 25 years and usually for much higher
prices. Nearly all hotels, resorts, cruise
lines, etc. have vacancies on a continual
basis, particularly during low seasons. They
find that participating in Vacation Package
programs is an effective form of generating
additional revenue. For example, a cruise
ship will sail on schedule regardless of whether
or not all of the cabins have been sold. Therefore,
rather than sail with empty cabins, it is
better to book passengers for pennies on the
dollar, since they will spend considerable
sums of money anyway on shore excursions,
onboard gift shops, onboard bars & casinos,
etc. Resorts & hotels also benefit in
a similar fashion.
